About

Dean Little has dedicated the past 16 years to Queensland Health as a Registered Nurse, specialising in Emergency Medicine. Currently serving as a simulation nurse educator, Dean plays a pivotal role in the Wide Bay Health Service (WBHHS) as one of four Advanced Life Support educators. He also one of the leads for the Basic Life Support program within WBHHS.

With extensive experience in the emergency department, Dean excels in training various cohorts in first aid and CPR. His expertise extends to asthma and anaphylaxis management, where he regularly conducts simulated education sessions for a diverse audience within the hospital. Additionally, Dean is highly skilled in advanced airway management, including oxygen delivery, ensuring comprehensive and practical training for all participants.

I enjoy delivering First Aid to the community as it gives everyone the necessary skills and knowledge to help those in need and potentially save lives.

Being able to empower individuals to offer immediate assistance and support to someone experiencing a medical emergency can be incredibly fulfilling.

I enjoy knowing that participants have the necessary skills that allow them to take appropriate actions in a critical situation and provide First Aid until professional help arrives.

As a Registered Nurse and First Aid trainer, I know that this can have a positive impact on the individual's well-being and recovery.
